Submit a Recipe

Submit your recipe highlighting the bounty of Southern Louisiana. Recipes will be judged in four categories: Swim, Fly, Crawl and Student. (Sorry, no professional cooks allowed!) Winners will receive custom trophies by local metal artist Luis Colmenares as well as all-important bragging rights. In addition, all entries will be featured in the Coastal Community Cookbook.

Be sure to check out the complete contest rules. If you have any additional questions, including any issues with your submission, please direct them to Samanatha Carter at carters@nwf.org. All submissions are due February 19th.

Make Artwork

Submit your two-dimensional work of art celebrating our coast. Prizes will be awarded in three categories: ages 12 and under, 13-17, and 18 and up. The winning entry in each category will receive a $100 Visa gift card to be used at the local restaurant of your choice and be featured in the promotion for the 2022 Cook-off for the Coast. In addition, all entries will be featured on the cook-off website.

Be sure to check out the complete contest rules. If you have any additional questions, including any issues with your submission, please direct them to Samantha Carter at carters@nwf.org. All submissions are due February 19th.

Fund Local Restoration Projects

Cook-Off for the Coast sponsorships and donations go to supporting local restoration work in St. Bernard. Past Cook-Offs have raised money for the St. Bernard Wetlands Foundation, St. Bernard Parish 4H Black Mangrove Program, and the Chandeleur Sound Living Shoreline Program. Give here.

Become a Coastal Advocate

There are many ways to get involved in the fight to save coastal Louisiana. From planting trees and bagging oyster shells to contacting elected officials and attending public meetings, you have the power to make a difference in restoring Louisiana’s coast.
