Cook-Off for the Coast Returns in 2024!

About the Cook-Off

Cook-off for the Coast is a family-friendly event started in 2017 in St. Bernard Parish to help raise awareness about Louisiana’s land loss crisis and the urgent need for coastal restoration. This is a FREE event and open to the public. Proceeds from merchandise sales and donations benefit local coastal restoration projects. The 2023 Cook-off raised over $16,000 for the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana’s Restoration Programs, Nunez Community College, and Chalmette High CTE’s Chandeleur Sound Living Shoreline Program in St. Bernard Parish.

The 2023 Cook-off for the Coast was held in partnership with St. Bernard Parish Coastal Division, St. Bernard Parish Tourism, Chefs Brigade and Nunez Community College.

Join us on February 24, 2024, at Docville Farm located at 5124 E. Saint Bernard Hwy in Violet, LA. Gates open at 11am. Food samples on a first-come, first-serve basis.
